Newsround is a long-running BBC children's news programme in the UK that explains major global events and current affairs in an accessible, age-appropriate way. It broadcasts daily on the CBBC channel and online, serving as a trusted news source and classroom staple for young people.
Wordle is a popular web-based puzzle game where players get six attempts to guess a secret five-letter word using color-coded tiles as clues. Owned by The New York Times, it features just one word per day, making it a quick, global daily ritual for millions.
NYT Sudoku is a digital adaptation of the classic logic-based number puzzle. It provides fresh puzzles every day across three difficulty levels - Easy, Medium, and Hard -complete with helpful online features like timers and error tracking.
Tightrope is a daily online trivia game hosted by Britannica that challenges players with a sequence of nine general knowledge questions under a strict 15-second time limit per question. The quiz progressively increases in difficulty both as the round advances and throughout the week, with players being eliminated if they choose three wrong answers.
Bandle is a daily music guessing game inspired by Wordle where players attempt to identify a song within six attempts. The unique twist is that the track begins with just a single isolated instrument, usually the drums, and adds a new musical layer - like the bass, guitar, or vocals - after each incorrect guess or skip.
These can be used at the appropriate time to provide students with an understanding of important dates marked each year. All dates are correct for the 26-27 school session.
